As part of the agreement between the authorities of the Sistema de Transporte Colectivo (Collective Transport System) y la Dirección General de Divulgación Científica de la UNAM (Scientific Divulgation General Administration of the National Autonomous University of Mexico), dated June 29, 2004, the program Ciencia de Boleto (Free-ride Science) began in the subway.

The program is intended to provide free scientific information to the general publica nd subway users in particular and to promote reading. UNAM researchers explain subjects that normally remain within the confines of the laboratories and classrooms of the University, in  a simple and didactic manner.

Ciencia de Boleto offers 50 titles written by the same number of researchers, with 50 000 copies of each installment printed. These will be available for free in terminal, connection and high affluence stations of lLne 3 (Indios Verdes - Universidad).

Users will be able to take a copy from the corresponding shelves, register, read it during their journey through the Network and return it to the same distribution points or to the information units, the station headquarters, the Ola Naranja guides or the Auxiliary Police within the turnstile area.
