Las Patronas

AXION

Every year about 400,000 Centroamerican migrants try to cross Mexico's territory and reach the United States. They travel huddled in freight trains. There are no flights for these illegal travelers now and won’t be any in the future... Somewhere in Veracruz State, Mexico, they can find a little support: "Las Patronas", women that have waited for them at the train tracks every day for 15 years,  since 1997, to give them food and drink, while the train keeps moving.
