Selvam works on promoting organic agriculture by mobilizing all sections of the society - farmers, students, civil society, legislators and linking consumers to the farmers. Strategies: 1. Creating, expanding and strengthening the networking of mainstream farmer organisations, traders bodies,  consumer groups, etc to fight GM issues, etc. 2. Advocacy meetings with social leaders, literary activists, doctors, hoteliers, writers, business people, fashion industry especially on genetically modified food. 3. Workshops planned for media students, policymakers, bureaucrats in various coaching centres in Chennai. 4. Newsletter on GM and farming issues. 5. Reaching out to the society through articles in newspapers and magazines. 6. Creating  Marketing support systems for promoting organic produces. 7. Helping organic farmers to from PGS (Participatory Guarantee System) groups to link themselves with the organic produce sellers.
