The implementation of an initiative aimed at helping the blind or visually impaired had a warm welcome recently here in Havana, due to the efforts of the State; so that they can also enjoy the emotions and the mystery of cinema. "Touching Light" is a very humanitarian initiative of Havana branch of the National Association for the Blind and the Cuban Film Institute (ICAIC), which seeks greater participation of these people in all spheres of social life. The project operates with an audio description system, also called video description, in which a narrator provides information on spatial location, gestures, clothing or other essential details to understanding the film, in the absence of visual perception.
